Boating

Heading towards my winter moorings in Froxfield.

Part 2.          24 October. Wooton Rivers to Great Bedwyn.

Joined by Jim, Roger and Mari at Wooton Rivers and moved down to 'Terry's carpark' at Great Bedwyn.

A dull sort of day with rain at times but we saw lots of kingfishers, some in the dismal top pound which would not be my territory of choice if I were a kingfisher.

Doubled up with nb Scavenger, a 1984 build with Josher bow and lots of traditional features. Living up to its name with a marvellous assembly of ash logs on the roof

Next day, walked back for the car, really enjoyed the horse path over the Bruce tunnel.

It dives under the railway line.

BUT, you need a short horse!

This hire boat was about 200m ahead of me entering the tunnel, then I had to wait for them to appear at the other end.
