Cribblog 2017

   April 13 Kintbury.

Moved down to Kintbury., three locks and 2 miles. Very pleasant weather and help was to hand on all the locks which was good.

Still pressing on with 'winter jobs' on board and my stay at Hungerford has increased their number as the roof is now covered with the sticky little leaf coverings [ Wikipedia tells me that these are called scales ], from the lime trees we were moored under.

Clearing the roof an extra 'winter job'..

R looking after the Sheffield grandchildren so a chance to break the back of this 'little' job on board that seems to have gone on forever. [and so it has]

Just as I left it with the floor primed ready for its topcoat.

Well there should have been a pic here of the Royal Scot in full steam powering past Cribbit on the cut. Alas I got a bit bored waiting for it and went inside to do a bit more tidying up. [Surely not you say?] and so I missed the photo opportunity.

Notice the shiny black stove just re-painted in heat resisting paint. Lit the fire last night and was all but gassed by the fumes even with door and windows open. Looks like I have burned the worst of it off now and probably the paint as well.
