Went into Oxford by train to-day with a mind to visiting the futon shop to look over possible replacement mattresses for Cribbit. As the train pulled in I noticed that the swing railway bridge on the Sheepwash Channel connecting the Oxford canal to Isis showed signs of activity. Decided that I would take a detour to see it from the land after the very brief glimpse that Terry and I had as we passed it by en route to the Kennet and Avon canal back in 2015.
You can see what we made of it back then [in this link] and in this pic. Other links: Oxford Preservation Society . Urban Exploration.
I think we can safely say that not a lot has happened but its good to get a different perspective from the land.
