Rosemary and I were just so pleased to be invited to Jason and Cristina's wedding and were even more pleased because it was to be held in Palermo, Sicily. Like many others, we decided to combine an extended break with a wedding celebration and we were not disappointed.
I have split the account into seven sections to make it quicker to load. Select the section from the navigation bar across the top of the page.
The photographs that follow have been mined from facebook and the cameras and phones of others. If you have any that you would like to contribute, please email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I'll add them to the pot. If there are any here that you would rather not have on public display, please let me know via the same route. Help with the identification of locations, people and continuity would be much appreciated and if you would like a higher definition version of any of my pics [not the ones with the long numeric filenames] just let me know. [Right click your mouse over the pic and select 'properties' or ;view image details' to find the file name.]
They also had a professional photographer Vivianaisca.
The wedding was held at the civic offices in Palermo and the reception at the nearby resort of Mondello. Guests stayed at various locations around about but chiefly at the Mondello Palace and the Conchiglia d'Oro hotels.
We arrived late Monday evening and headed down to the seafront in the dark for something to eat. Rather pleased that all was still in full swing and nice to sit in the evening heat even at this time of year.
In the morning we were very surprised to see the surrounding mountains undetected in the blackness of the night.
