Things to see and do somewhere near a canal
Thanks to Pat and Eddie for giving me the idea for this topic.
The plan here is to provide links to landmarks that are accessible from the canal or waterway on foot or by car.
I've been house hunting lately and I know what happens when you do a house search within a 40 mile radius of somewhere. You get most of the UK! So I have decided that I will set a few rules for the places I am going to link to. These are:
- Places I have been to myself and like
- Places that have entries on cribbitDOTnet
- Places suggested by visitors: please email links to me at chris.leadbeater@netscape.net.
- Places fairly close to a navigable waterway [which means just about anywhere]
- To link into existing content from a different viewport
- Each landmark to be on its own page
Click on a waterway in one of the navigation bars or choose from the list below.
when I first started writing this website in 2007, I had no idea what I was doing. [This continues to this day] but I had no idea what it might become. I'm writing this at the end of March 2021 and I'm aware that there is a lot of content on the website which rarely sees the light of day either because it has been bypassed or is just embedded somewhere so not directly accessible. My intent with these pages is to provide links to existing content from a different perspective and to find new links from outside that might redress whatever I might have posted about the subject.
